As of November 9, 2012 new rules on migration shall come into force, in order to regulate the entry and exit of Mexicans and foreigners in the Country, as well as transit and residence of foreigners. (+)

Portuguese citizens who wish to visit Mexico as tourists do not require a visa but they must be holders of a Portuguese passport with a validity date at least six months from the date of visit to Mexico and are also required to fill in the respective migrant form – “FMT”. (+)
